I am an award-winning musician, a visually impaired leader, a TIME100 Next honouree, and a sitting senator of the Republic of Kenya. Diagnosed with glaucoma as a teenager, I have built a path that defies categorisation, proving that disability is compatible with an extraordinary life.

I am the first and only senator to span all three special interest groups: persons with disabilities, women and youth, alongside creatives. I advocate for legislative change that addresses intersectionality and entrenched bias. I am a Harvard Law School fellow, a One Young World ambassador, and the architect of Kenya’s most significant disability reform in decades.
