Crystal Asige Foundation

We believe disability should never determine what a person can achieve.

The Crystal Asige Foundation works to remove the barriers that prevent persons with disabilities from learning, working, leading and participating fully in society. Inclusion should not be something we add later. It should be part of how we design our schools, workplaces, communities and institutions from the very beginning.

Founded by Senator Crystal Asige, the Foundation brings together advocacy, accessibility, leadership development and partnerships to turn that belief into action. We work with government, civil society, the private sector and communities to create change that lasts.

Because when we remove barriers for some, we create a better society for everyone.

Mission

To create a more inclusive society by removing barriers, improving accessibility, strengthening representation, influencing policy and opening up more opportunities for persons with disabilities.

Vision

A society where every person, regardless of ability, has the opportunity, dignity and freedom to participate fully in every aspect of life.

Assistive Technology

Independence starts with having the right tools.

For many persons with disabilities, assistive technology can be the difference between being excluded and being able to learn, work, travel and participate fully in everyday life.

We provide assistive technology to people with disabilities who need it most, including screen readers, mobility devices and accessible digital tools. Through partners such as the Kenya Society for the Blind, we fund equipment and support training.

Inclusive design

Access must be enforced, not requested.

We work to make public spaces and systems accessible. We carry out accessibility audits, advise on design standards and promote inclusive mobility. Spaces and services should work for everyone from the start.

Help us turn inclusion into action.

Every contribution helps fund disability inclusion programmes, accessibility initiatives, assistive technology, leadership development and advocacy through the Crystal Asige Foundation.
